Trivia/Guide

How the trivia system works, what makes it different, and how to get the most out of it.

This is genuinely ours

Unlike Stream Tools (which mostly mirror Twitch), the trivia system is something we built from scratch. Twitch has no native trivia feature. This is a full trivia engine with custom packs, community sharing, bot integration, and push automation — all running through your existing chat bot (StreamElements, Nightbot, or Streamlabs).

How It Works

You create trivia packs with questions and categories. During a stream, the system pushes questions to your chat via bot commands. Viewers answer with!quiz aand the bot scores them automatically.

No special bot is needed — it works through your existing StreamElements, Nightbot, or Streamlabs setup. You add one custom command that points to our API, and the trivia engine handles everything else.

Features

Start and control trivia sessions. Pick a game pack, set the question count and cooldown, then let the automation push questions at your chosen interval. You can also push questions manually one at a time.

What's unique

The push automation is the key feature — it runs questions on a timer so you don't need to interact during gameplay. You can set it and forget it.

Create your own question packs, or browse the built-in library. Each pack has categories, and you can filter which categories to include in a session. Import questions from CSV or JSON.

What's unique

The community library lets anyone publish their packs for others to fork and customize. Built-in packs are curated (currently focused on Dead by Daylight) with source citations.

View past and current trivia sessions. See which questions were asked, how many viewers participated, and resume paused sessions where you left off.

Generate the exact command to paste into your bot's custom command editor. Supports StreamElements, Nightbot, and Streamlabs with the correct URL format for each.

What's unique

One-click command generation — no manual URL building. The command includes your channel and preferred settings as URL parameters.

What Makes It Different

  • No AI required. Trivia works entirely through chat commands and bot integration. You don't need MCP or any AI tool. It's a standalone feature.
  • Works with existing bots. No new bot to install or authorize. Your current StreamElements/Nightbot/Streamlabs setup just gets a new custom command.
  • Push automation. Most trivia bots require viewers to trigger questions. Ours pushes them automatically on a timer, which keeps engagement going during gameplay without streamer intervention.
  • Community packs. Create a pack, publish it, and other streamers can fork it. Good for game-specific communities where everyone benefits from a shared question pool.

MCP Integration

Trivia also works through MCP. An AI assistant can create question packs (e.g., "make 20 science questions"), start sessions, and manage automation. This is convenient but not essential — most streamers will use the dashboard directly.

Usage Ideas

  • Background engagement: Set up a Dead by Daylight trivia pack with 50 questions, 45-second cooldown, and let it run during your stream. Chat stays active even during loading screens.
  • Community knowledge base: Create a pack about YOUR channel — inside jokes, lore, past streams. Viewers compete to prove they're the biggest fan.
  • Educational content: If you stream coding or creative work, make a pack about the topic you're covering. Quiz your viewers on concepts while you work.
  • Game-day events: Before a tournament stream, import questions about the teams/players. Time the trivia to run during pre-show downtime.
